BB | FAN ALERT for 5:30p Monday Game

FAN ALERT: Monday’s Boys Varsity Basketball Game at Wheeler: It’s very important to note that AHS spectators will enter and sit on the “other” side than we traditionally do. Please help pass the word. We will do a phone out too.
The memo below states: This will be particularly important for Austin fans to know since they will be entering a different gate than they are accustomed. It has been suggested that the campus calling system may be the best way to communicate this change.

Re: Monday February 4, 2013 Basketball Games Wheeler Field House

Monday night February 4, 2013 Travis High School and Bush High School will be playing a game that will most likely decide the 23-5A District Boys Basketball Championship. Currently these two teams are ranked 5th and 6th in the state. As a result of the significance of this game the athletic office, campus administration from Bush and Travis and FBISD Police met and devised a plan to enhance security and safety for all patrons & participants. Please note there will be two games played that night and all changes will apply to both games.

Kempner and Austin play the first game at 5:30 prior to the start of the Travis / Bush game at 7:00 PM. Some of the logistical information (Bus parking, Seating, Concessions etc…) is important for the Kempner and Austin fans to know since we are opening gates for patrons on both sides of the gym, keeping the crowd separated and not allowing them to cross over to the other side. This will be particularly important for Austin fans to know since they will be entering a different gate than they are accustomed.
